工作职责
岗位概述

The core purpose of the Washington State School for the Blind (WSSB) is to empower blind and low vision individuals to reach their full potential. Duties
Position Summary
The Human Resource Consultant 1 (HRC1) performs direct customer-level professional human resource service including but not limited to benefits and leave administration, recruitment, human management system data entry and assistance with reasonable accommodation processes. Working under general supervision and regular guidance of lead-level HR staff, the HRC1 supports equitable, inclusive, and policy-aligned human resource practices while contributing to recurring assignments and project components. Working in conjunction with colleagues and advisors, the HRC1 analyzes policies and develops strategies to resolve issues while mitigating bias in all aspects of work. The HRC1 is required to exercise independent judgement to accomplish task assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct assistance to employees for human resources, benefits, retirement and payroll process needs.
- Enters, retrieves and validates data from human resource information or other computerized recordkeeping systems supporting payroll, benefits, personnel files, position files, performance evaluations, employee training and development,
- Processes data entry for employee, payroll, benefits safety and health systems.
- Composes correspondence and processes hiring and appointment actions.
- Maintains records and statistics, analyzes and compiles data and information for reporting, prepares narrative or statistical reports, assists with public disclosure requests
- Assists with job analysis efforts and salary scale determinations.
- Conducts recruitment efforts including developing job postings, screening applicants, developing interview questions, trains interview panel members, and provides advisement to hiring managers for candidate selection.
- Assists to develop and implement employee training.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
