谁适合申请?
具备以下任一条件的专业人士:
  • 在大型商业或机构洗衣环境中担任洗衣工1级,或同等职位,具有六个月的相关工作经验

  • 完成认可的洗衣操作培训课程,并在大型商业或机构洗衣环境中担任洗衣工1级,或同等职位,具有三个月的相关工作经验

其他信息:
  • 工作时间:周一至周五,早上5:30至下午2:00
  • 在该工作地点每周至少进行三天现场工作的机会,可能有资格获得额外5%的加薪,加上所 advertised 的薪资。

DSHS FTAA MOD – Laundry Worker 2
Join our team as a Custodian 2 supporting the laundry operations that serve both Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center and Eastern State Hospital in Medical Lake. 

In this essential role, you will help coordinate and perform all phases of laundry services, from processing and restoring soiled textiles to distributing clean linens and clothing throughout both facilities. Your work directly supports the health, safety, comfort, and daily care needs of residents, patients, and staff by ensuring high-quality laundry services are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with infection-control and safety standards.

Some of what you'll do:

  • Coordinate and perform all phases of institutional laundry operations, ensuring linens and textiles are cleaned, processed, and distributed according to established quality and production standards.
  • Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, cross-folding machines, conveyors, and small-piece folding equipment.
  • Sort, process, wash, dry, fold, iron, and distribute institutional linens and resident clothing while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Follow infection control, pandemic response, and safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and laundry chemicals.
  • Maintain inventory records, verify laundry poundage, fulfill linen and supply requests, and ensure timely delivery of clean textiles to customer areas.
  • Monitor equipment and facility conditions, submit maintenance requests as needed, and assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
  • Support operational success by assisting with staff training, providing excellent customer service, and performing other duties as assigned.

Desired skills, knowledge, and abilities:
  • Knowledge of commercial laundry operations, equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to safely operate washers, dryers, extractors, ironers, folding equipment, and other laundry machinery.
  • Ability to sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, bundle, and distribute linens and clothing accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, learn new procedures, and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory and production records.
  • Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, residents, patients, and customers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships while demonstrating patience, professionalism, and respect toward others.

Who should apply?
Professionals who possess one of the following:
  • Six months of experience as a Laundry Worker 1, or equivalent, in a large commercial or institutional laundry setting
    OR
  • Completion of a recognized training course in laundry operations and three months of experience as a Laundry Worker 1, or equivalent, in a large commercial or institutional laundry setting.

Additional information:
  • Work schedule: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
