你将负责的部分工作包括: 

  • 准备、分析和维护纸质和电子健康记录;通过数字和实体数据系统跟踪患者文件。
  • 整理、审核和转录患者记录,确保其完整性、准确性和及时性;与专业人员合作解决文件记录不足的问题。
  • 进行质量保证审核,确保符合联合委员会和医疗补助与医疗保障服务中心(CMS)制定的政策、程序和标准。
  • 摘录、整理并录入患者信息至州级和部门数据库;准备叙述性及统计报告。
  • 审核、整理和处理患者住院期间收到的法院文件;维护和监控已建立的记录管理和归档系统。
  • 协助处理医疗记录请求,确保符合政策、法律和相关要求,包括扫描和遮蔽记录。
  • 制定和修订医院表格,协调记录保存、归档和纸质记录的传送,并与其他健康信息管理(HIM)团队成员合作,提供卓越的服务。

哪些人适合申请?
拥有副学士学位,并在健康信息管理(HIM)或医疗隐私和/或合规办公室或相关领域至少有两年的工作经验。

上述领域的综合经验可按年替代所需经验。

一般岗位要求通过美国健康信息管理协会(AHIMA)获得注册健康信息技术员(RHIT)或注册健康信息管理员(RHIA)的当前和持续认证。

DSHS YVS Health Records Technician 1 

Yakima Valley School is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for a Health Records Technician 1 (HRT1) position in the Health Information Management (HIM) department. This position ensures the security and confidentiality of protected health information and requires knowledge of general health information management. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our highly motivated team at our Yakima Valley location.

Note: Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.  

Some of what you'll do: 

  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain paper and electronic health records; track patient documents using digital and physical data systems.
  • Assemble, audit, and transcribe patient records for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness; resolve documentation deficiencies with professional staff.
  • Perform quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards set by Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
  • Abstract, compile, and enter patient information into statewide and department databases; prepare narrative and statistical reports.
  • Review, organize, and process court documents received throughout the patient’s hospitalization; maintain and monitor established record-keeping and filing systems.
  • Assist with responding to medical record requests in compliance with policies, laws, and requirements, including scanning and redacting records.
  • Develop and revise hospital forms, coordinate record retention, archiving, and transmittal of paper records, and collaborate with other Health Information Management (HIM) team members to provide excellent service.

Who should apply?
Associate degree and at least two years of experience in HIM or in a healthcare privacy and/or compliance office or related area.
Or
Combined experience in the above areas may be substituted year for year for experience desired.

Positions generally require current and ongoing accreditation through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
